Longsuffering and liberating, overcoming and overreaching, valiant and vigilant, and extravagant and eternal are words that describe God’s love coming to us through Christ, our Savior. Still, these words and millions of other words are completely insufficient to describe even the beginning facets and capacities of His love. A myriad of words from all of time itself cannot express the love of God towards each one of us in the gift of His Son.
Oh, that we would grasp the slightest dimensions of the width, depth, breadth, and length of God’s love that through His grace makes us His children in a Holy Spirit-secured relationship now and forever. Oh, that we would allow this incredible favoring from our God to save and empower us, to bring the fragrance of the love of Christ into our lives. May we focus our lives on the unshakable gift of our salvation! May we love like we are loved by our Living God!
They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed but abideth forever. (Psalm 125:1; KJ21)
Father, I am so thankful I can trust in You, and feel secure in your mighty love. You, O Lord, surround me with the presence of your love just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, now and forever. I can trust in your goodness at all times; help my heart stay in tune with all your ways. Amen.
