To be a true follower of Christ as Lord, there must be an exclusive abandonment of everything else for Him and an exclusive loving attachment above everything else, to Him!
When you live your life truly connecting with Christ, what matters to you; is Christ! Everything that matters in your life will have Christ in it, and everyone around you will be impacted by your living your life connected to Christ.
You alone, O God are a fortress and a rock, a place where I find refuge and strength. You alone teach me the truth and You alone are my strength to live out my days in your salvation of me. Paraphrase Psalm 71:3
Oh Lord, be the hard granite structure under me, solid and unchanging in your steadfast love, where I can always find the strength to be a true follower of Christ, my Savior. Let me rest in all You are and all You give to me. Help me to abandon my life to You and let me spend my days learning from my Savior and Your Holy Spirit so that I may reflect the Light of the world to the world around me. Amen.
