Steady My Gaze
Every second, every minute, every hour, every day, and everything yet to come, is in your hands, Oh Lord. I trust you with it all because You alone are my God! A Prayer for the Day
Oh Lord Jesus, steady my gaze on You. Steady my gaze in the bleakness of brokenness and illness, steady my gaze in the unexpected, steady my graze when others bring evil against me, steady my gaze in danger and fear, steady my gaze in disappointment, steady my gaze in heartache and doubt, and steady my gaze when those around me disregard me and when hope is hard to retain in my soul. Steady my gaze on your mercy, grace, and forgiveness when the sorrow over my sins threatens to overwhelm my assurance of faith and truth. Steady my gaze upon You, and You alone. Oh Lord, steady my gaze upon You, in everything I face.
Steady my gaze upon You, that I may trust in your love, comfort, care, guidance, protection, provision, and healing of my body and soul. Thank you for being the rock of my refuge, in all that I face today, tomorrow, or in the future. Oh Lord, steady my soul, as I steady my gaze upon You alone as my God. Lift up my gaze and fix it upon You alone, O Lord, whenever my heart is troubled, for my times are in your hand. In Your Name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
